Debit cards worth keeping around.

A running list of the debit cards worth keeping around if you play the rewards and manufactured-spend game. Debit is its own thing, but a handful of these earn well enough to bother with.

On the personal side:

  • Tk. personal.
  • Fluz, whatever personal BINs are floating around.
  • Primis personal. Worth flagging: they shut down a lot of people last month, so go in careful.
  • Southwest personal.
  • United personal.
  • Wyndham debit.
  • Upgrade rewards, though it's capped to certain MCCs as far as I know.
  • Discover and Amex debit, for the odd niche case.

Beyond those, there's a wave of fintechs like Future Card that pay a percentage back, usually locked to specific MCCs. My advice with these: treat the cashback as temporary. It's only a matter of time before the rest of the community finds it and it gets nerfed, so hit it and move on.

Crypto is another place these live, but most come with staking or holding requirements. Some run as credit and pay out as debit, which gets them blocked in certain places. There's more risk in this corner than I'm the right person to explain, and plenty of people know it better than I do.

On the business side there are a lot more, with varying degrees of gameability on top of Tk. If Tk. gets blocked or asks for a PIN, it's worth trying the same move with the alternatives and seeing what happens. There are 40-plus companies doing some version of this.
